About FCC

The SCP foundation was founded upon the ideals of upholding normalcy around the world. Operating clandestinely and worldwide, the Foundation operates beyond the limitations of national governments, and is entrusted by the major powers of the world to Secure and Contain Anomalies, and Protect the world from Supernatural threats. Much of these anomalies pose a significant threat to citizens worldwide, being able to conduct both psychological and physical harm to said citizens. Anomalies undermine the natural law that the people of the world implicitly believe in. Moreover, it is the SCP Foundation’s ultimate goal to Secure, Contain, and Protect, in order to maintain normalcy, so that humanity could live free from fear of the unknown. The SCP Foundation’s goal “without fear, mistrust, or doubt in their personal beliefs, and to maintain human independence from extraterrestrial, extradimensional, and other extranormal influence.

SPAMUN FCC ‘24 Topic

  • It is currently June 5th, ████, and just north of the US - Mexico border, the discovery of a haunting abandoned building sparked interest by many urban explorers. Problems arise when these explorers enter the building - never to come back. Foundation Assets were deployed to explore the  ██████ location. Their disappearance sparked interest in the higher echelons of the Foundation, designated  as SCP-1730. SCP-1730 bore identifying markings and contained documents to support the claim that SCP-1730 was at one point Foundation Site-13, originally located near Nome, Alaska. This conflicted with extant records, which showed that Site-13 was a project that, while intended to be constructed in Alaska, was scrapped for the larger and more advanced Site-19 and was never completed. Flora located on-site was identified as native to the Alaskan region. SCP-1730, when discovered, was in a state of disrepair, and appeared to be abandoned for an extended period of time.

"We die in the dark so that you may live in the light"

The nature and threat level of SCP-1730 is currently unknown. From preliminary interviews with surviving personnel of SCP-1730, there has been a ██████ level containment breach of █ SCPs. The situation inside the building is highly dangerous, with the structure of the building itself to be unstable. Moreover, interviews have concluded that the SCPs contained within the building have the potential to cause an XK-Class End of the World Scenario. The situation is highly volatile, you, as a delegate carry the future of humanity on your shoulders. Godspeed…

  • Director

Kevin, a Junior at Port Moody Secondary School and a diplomat at heart, has discovered his vocation in the Model United Nations community. It is a privilege for Kevin to Direct the Fictional Crisis Committee at SPAMUN this year. Kevin’s passion for Model United Nations was conjured in the committee room of the World Health Organization at Horizons 2021 and has since grown incredibly passionate about Model United Nations. Outside of the complex web of diplomacy, discussion, and international cooperation, Kevin may be found putting his Hearts of Iron IV strategy abilities to the test, slogging through homework, or getting some much-needed rest. Kevin anticipates the insightful discussions and compelling debates at SPAMUN 2024.

  • Chair

A befuddled junior imprisoned within Port Moody Secondary School, Brian is honoured to serve as Chair in the Fictional Crisis Committee of SPAMUN 2024. After the hypnotic discussion regarding narcotics in the halls of WHO in 2021, Brian has since developed an irreversible psychological condition that causes him to hyperventilate at the mention of any MUN references. An avid tormentor of the dias team, Brian can be found within the conference room frantically trying to hammer Deng Xiaoping quotes into his speeches, helping to foster the international relations of Albania, and orchestrating the construction of the Death Star using British taxpayers' money. Outside of MUN, Brian can be found face-palming in second-hand embarrassment as he reads about the Waterloo campaign, delving into the detailed lore of Middle-earth, or researching about the many interesting quirks of marine porpoises. Brian looks forward to fostering a new and rewarding environment for all delegates of the committee

  • Assistant Director

A Grade 11 student at Richmond Christian School, Sophie is elated to be serving as Assistant Director of the Fictional Crisis Committee at SPAMUN 2024. From timidly raising her placard in General Assemblies to being fully immersed in the creation of resolution papers with the delegates around her, Sophie’s journey in Model UN was nothing short of exhilarating. MUN has provided an array of memorable moments and valued memories from debating global rights to colonizing Mars. Outside of MUN, Sophie enjoys terrorizing her two adorable cats, scrolling for new horrors to watch, and exploring the islands of Poptropica. Sophie is determined to make the committee room fun, engaging, and an unforgettable experience for delegates at this iteration of SPAMUN.
